Tiger Woods..is there anyone else playing?

By: Tim Scott

The PGA tour is back in full swing this weekend, opening up with the Buick Invitational in sunny San Diego, California. The season has started the same way it has for the past four years, with Tiger Woods winning.

In his most dominate start to a season, Wood's built an 11 stroke lead on Sunday until his game and the weather turned cold on him during his play on the back nine. A birdie for woods on his last hole of the day gave him 1 under par 71 and eight shot victory, giving him 62 career wins to tie Arnold Palmer on the PGA Tour list.

After returning to work from a long holiday vacation it was like Tiger never skipped a beat. His stroke, his approach to the hole and his putting where played at his highest levels. During his play throughout the weekend there really wasn't much doubt that Tiger was going to win his fourth straight Buick title and it seemed like the rest of the field new it too.

Tiger Woods continues to bring me back to watch golf on a relaxing Sunday afternoon. Im amazed everytime he stands in a tee box and effortlessly smashes the ball perfectly down the fairway. I keep watching because I don't want to miss that next great shot that he makes from 150 yards out, or that great chip shot that rolls and hangs over the cup before gently falling in. He's the greatest player to ever play the game of golf and some may argue to be the most dominate athlete at their sport ever. To be his age and already be tied with one of the greatest golfers ever in Arnold Palmer is a true testiment to his abilities.

Im looking forward to another long summer of PGA golf, but probably more excited to see what this season has instore for Tiger. How many victories will he have? Can he win onother Masters this year? Its amazing how we ask these kind of questions like its just expected out of him to win as much as he does every year. Well, growing up in Chicago it was the same questions I asked about Michael Jordan year in and year out. Will he win the scoring title again this year? Will the Bull's win another NBA title? The answer usually ended up being yes more than no! The same things for Tiger, you know hes going to produce. Tiger, just like Jordan, is the best ever and when your that good it just comes that easy for ya to win! It will be another year of the Tiger and ill be tuned into watch!
