Demise of a NBA Franchise

From a coach whom just got done finalizing a sexual harassment lawsuit to an Owner whom some think doesn’t even know he’s running an NBA Franchise. Ladies and gentleman I would like to introduce you to the New York Knicks.

One of the founding charter members in the NBA and a well respected franchise has taken a huge turn for the worse. James Dolan is Chairman of the Board for Cablevision Systems whom owns Madison Square Garden and the three sports franchises that play within its walls. Dolan’s ownership over Madison Square Garden has been a complete debacle. An important factor to take into consideration is the fact that Dolan has no sports knowledge. He knows nothing about wins or losses but only about dollars and cents. He refuses to give up control of the team to a competent manager or team president. This kind of stubbonness will keep both teams that play at MSG in mediocrity.

Dolan continues to give Head Coach and President of Basketball Operations Isiah Thomas a vote of confidence, despite the fact that Thomas is nearly as inept and incompetent as Dolan. As long as this stubborn mule is owner over this team I don’t believe anything will change anytime soon.

As a New York Knick fan I would be embarrassed, upset and half suicidal to see one of the best franchises in sports ran and operated by a bunch of inept people. James Dolan is the problem and can never help out in resolving a solution for the Knicks. Don’t show up to the games, don’t buy memorabilia and don’t turn your televison on to the game for the rest of the season. Yeh, that may not solve our problem with James Dolan but should be a message to Madison Square Garden and Cablevision that its fans will no longer financially support a guy that wont support them!
